Use your first name and last initial followed by xxxxx.tries.fed.wiki --this will create a new FedWiki site. If someone else has already claimed that site extend your name.
I use marc.tries.fed.wiki because there were no other Marc's in the Wiki. If there had been I could use marcp or marpie, etc. until I found an unclaimed URL.
Once you have an unclaimed FedWiki site in front of you, click on the yellow-gold lock at the bottom left of the webpage and then click on the Google credential page that is presented and provide your password. This authenticates that site and you will be the only person who can write to the site. It is now your FedWiki site.

One can pre-populated sites for new users. Then they can claim their site with their Google credentials (email and password).
There are only a few people running Federated Wiki servers. This is a problem that we are working on.
For the time being, you can use your FedWiki site on one of Ward Cunningham's servers (xxxx.tries.fed.wiki).
You will be encouraged to transfer your site to other servers as they become available, including your own server if you choose to set one up. It can even run on your personal computer if need be.
